Patient Seeks Orthopaedic Care Regarding Knee Pain
February 5, 2021

When knee injuries from high school days began to take a toll on his mobility, Fred Van Oosbree decided to schedule an appointment with Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist, Dr. Aaron Wynkoop.
It was determined that Mr. Van Oosbree would require surgery to repair both knees. After two smooth and successful surgeries, Dr. Wynkoop referred Mr. Van Oosbree to Carolina Pines Outpatient Rehabilitation, so he could begin to gain back his strength. Mr. Van Oosbree stated that “everyone was helpful, encouraging, and professional. They clearly laid out a plan for my therapy and taught me new exercises and stretches to target my problem areas.”
Upon completion of his rehabilitation, Mr. Van Oosbree was able to walk for thirty to forty minutes at a time, after only barely being able to walk prior to his surgeries. He says, “I would not advise anyone to skip physical therapy following a knee replacement. These individuals truly cared about my quality of life and weren’t just going through the motions.” Mr. Van Oosbree is now back to work as an engineer and has also been able to return to his normal exercise routine.
Thank you for counting on Carolina Pines for your orthopaedic and rehabilitation needs!
