Letter from the Program Director

Welcome to the Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program.

Thank you for your interest in our program and in joining us as we establish a new tradition of excellence in family medicine education. As Program Director, I am honored to lead a residency that is founded on the principles of compassionate patient care, lifelong learning, community engagement, and professional growth.

At Carolina Pines, we are building a residency experience that prepares physicians to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the communities we serve. Our residents will receive full spectrum training that emphasizes evidence-based medicine, continuity of care, preventive health, and the development of meaningful relationships with patients and families. Through diverse clinical experiences and close faculty mentorship, our graduates will be equipped to practice confidently in a variety of settings, from rural and community-based environments to more complex healthcare systems.

Our location in Hartsville, South Carolina offers a unique opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while making a lasting impact on the health of our region. We believe that family medicine is at the heart of community healthcare, and we are committed to training physicians who will become trusted advocates, leaders, and caregivers.
