Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center Welcomes Illiyah P. Edwards, WHNP, to Carolina Pines Medical Group Women’s Care
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) is proud to welcome Illiyah P. Edwards, DNP-s, WHNP-BC, RNC-MNN, a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, to its growing Carolina Pines Medical Group Women’s Care team.
Edwards brings an impressive background in women’s health, maternal-newborn nursing, leadership, and education, along with a passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to women across every stage of life. She is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Duke University School of Nursing and earned both her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duke University. She also received her Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College.
With extensive clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, perinatal care, primary care, and postpartum mother-baby services, Edwards has cared for patients in leading hospitals and health systems across the country, including Duke University Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Atrium Health, and multiple regional medical centers nationwide.
In addition to her clinical work, Edwards has served in academic leadership and teaching roles at Duke University School of Nursing, helping prepare the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals. Her commitment to mentorship, education, and health equity has been recognized through numerous honors and scholarships throughout her career.

As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Edwards provides comprehensive care including annual wellness exams, preventive screenings, contraception counseling, pregnancy and postpartum support, menopause management, and treatment for a wide range of women’s health concerns.
