HARTSVILLE, SC  - Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Mark Stellingworth, cardiologist, and Nurse Practitioner Shannon Gainey have joined the team at Carolina Pines Medical Group (CPMG) Cardiology, bringing their expertise to the growing practice. 

Dr. Stellingworth and Gainey will work alongside the current providers in Carolina Pines Medical Group Cardiology, continuing to grow the practice and expand access to high-quality heart care for patients across Hartsville and the surrounding communities.

While this marks an official transition to Carolina Pines Medical Group Cardiology, both providers are already very familiar to this community. The two and their team will continue caring for patients in the same office location, where many have already come to know them through their work with Prisma Health.

Both also share longstanding connections to Carolina Pines. Dr. Stellingworth has served the organization through two terms on the Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees, has held the position of CPRMC Chief of Staff for two years, and currently serves as Chair on the CPRMC Peer Review Board. Gainey is also a familiar face to many patients, having previously cared for our patients as part of the Carolina Pines Medical Group Primary Care team.

Patients who currently see Dr. Stellingworth or Gainey can expect a smooth and seamless transition, with the same trusted care and relationships continuing as the practice moves forward as CPMG Cardiology.

Gainey brings extensive experience in cardiology care management, patient education, and ongoing monitoring to help guide patients through every stage of their heart health journey.

Working alongside our current CPMG Cardiology providers, the team will provide a collaborative approach to cardiovascular care, ensuring patients have access to the expertise, technology, and personalized attention needed to manage heart disease and improve overall heart health.
