HARTSVILLE, SC (March 5, 2026) - Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) is proud to announce that two of its exceptional nurses have been recognized with the prestigious 2026 Palmetto Gold Award, one of the highest honors for nurses in South Carolina.

Each year, the Palmetto Gold program recognizes 100 nurses from across the state who exemplify excellence in the nursing profession. Through a rigorous nomination and blind selection process, honorees are chosen for their outstanding commitment to patient care, leadership, compassion, and contributions to advancing the profession of nursing. These nurses serve as mentors, advocates, and leaders within their organizations and communities, representing the very best of healthcare in South Carolina.

Established in 2002 by a coalition of South Carolina nursing leaders, Palmetto Gold was created not only to celebrate excellence in nursing but also to raise scholarship funds to support the next generation of nurses. A panel of nurse leaders from across the state carefully reviews nominations without knowledge of the nominees’ names or places of employment, ensuring a fair and highly competitive selection process.

This year, CPRMC is honored to have two nurses among the distinguished 100 recipients:

  • Lori Rivers, MEd, MSN, RN, CPPS
  • Anjela Singletary, MSN, RN, CCRN-K

“Lori and Anjela represent the heart and professionalism of nursing at its highest level,” said Christy Moody, Chief Nursing Officer at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. “Their work supports our patients and our staff in meaningful ways, and their commitment to excellence is evident in everything they do. We’re grateful for their leadership and so proud to celebrate this incredible achievement.”

The 2026 honorees will be celebrated at the annual Palmetto Gold Gala in Columbia, South Carolina.
