HARTSVILLE, SC (August 1, 2011) — Russell Baxley is the newest member of The Administrative Team at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. Russell began assuming the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer on Monday, June 6th. He comes to Carolina Pines from Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas where he served as both the Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Associate Administrator.
Baxley completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Clemson University and his graduate degree in Health Care Administration from The University of South Carolina. He is a native of Johnsonville, SC. In his spare time, Russell enjoys running, early morning workouts at the “Y” and boating/water activities like wake boarding and skiing. When asked why he chose Hartsville to call home, Russell said that it was Hartsville’s southern charm and close-knit family community that sold him as well as, of course, the exciting opportunity to be a part of the team at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.
“We are thrilled to have Russell as part of our team at Carolina Pines,” says Steve Midkiff, Interim CEO. “Russell hit the ground running with lots of enthusiasm and energy. He has taken projects and moved them forward already. He has a real vision and a heart for our community hospital realizing the need for our partnership with the communities that we serve. Russell will be a real asset to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center and to the Hartsville community.”
